Hi, I had a serious argument with my colleagues at work, they were saying a christian cannot be a president as politics are a dirty game as leaders decide on waging wars, when God does not like war. So no one who is president or aspires to be one,is a christian. My argument was that God was choosing leaders in the old testament and can do the same now, I gave an example of David who also went to battle and God actually gave him victory.
So now they are saying God spoke audibly to people then unless He does that now they wont believe that anyone can be president and a christian at the same time.
What I want is some scriptures which I can give to these people to show them that God is still in control. I know the bible tells me not to get into silly arguments and am trying not to. It's just that I get offended when someone speaks badly of my creator.
