If the presidential election were held today, who would you vote for? I could only post 10 choices so the last option is "other". You can post who you would have voted for if your candidate isn't listed.

I will probably vote for John Edwards but I'm not sure. SelectSmart's presidential candidate selector wasn't very conclusive for me. However I vote, it will probably be for a Republican or a conservative Democrat.

Hi ChristianGirl02, thanks for your response. I just thought you might like to know, if you weren't already aware of this, John Edwards is not Republican and he is about as close to being conservative as I am to being the next President. Don't take my word for it. If you look up John Edwards history and how he's voted before, you'll see he is quite liberal. Now to be honest, and this is only my opinion, I can't honestly say most of the Republicans are very conservative either. The Republican candidates often claim to hold a conservative view while most, not all, Democrats often have a liberal view. However, if you study each candidate you'll quickly see they are not really conservative, with the exception of Ron Paul. That is who I will be voting for because I believe him to truely be conservative. I am not telling you to vote for him though. It is your responsibility as an American Christian to decide who truely represents your ideals and values. Careful though. Most of them are liars and hypocrites. The best way to determine who is true to his word is to look up his voting history and that will tell you what he really supports. If you study John Edwards voting history, I think you'll reconsider your vote in the future. That is if a true conservative is what your looking for in office.
God Bless

Hi OneJoe,
I know I have no business voting here as I'm not a American's citizen, neither do I know much about these candidates, but I would like to see America having a president, like those of your early founding fathers of America, man like Abraham Lincon, man that's fear God, who would institute and preserves christian values, for even "In GOD We Trust." in every dollars they spent.

Wow I see a couple of people voted for Guiliani and Clinton. I would be highly interested in why you think these people are Christian and fit to run this country. It would be nice to compare the pros and cons of both these people; that is if you truely understand why your voting for them. :-)

I am voting for Mike Huckabee because he is the under runner without hte large funds and publicity that the others have. He is truly in it not for hte glory and the power but for the country and that is exactly what this country is in need of right now. I don't know if he will win the election because he does not have the publicity that the other candidates have but I do feel that the christian leaders need to agree on one candidate and heavily promote them amongst the christian community because if the christians can unite on this matter we have a chance of getting the best president in office to save our country. Not that God can't make it happen but we need to do our best to have the best candidate win and leave the rest up to God.

I'm not sure how much news you watch, but Huckabee, Romney, and Giuliani have been all over the news since day one. Huckabee has gotten a great deal of attention from the media. The candidate that is doing well despite the medias attempt to ignore him is Ron Paul. He has gotten far less media coverage and is still winning the straw polls. Americans know the Jew owned Media networks are trying hard to ignore Ron Paul so they are flocking to the internet to show their support. The Jewish owned Media networks hate this because they can't regulate the internet. All they can do is not promote Ron Paul on their sites. I have even come across political poles online that didn't bother to give a person the option to vote for Ron. They listed every other Republican candidate but made sure to exclude Ron Paul. They always make up some kind of lame excuse, but the fact is they don't want Ron Paul for personal reasons.
I for one will not be voting for Huckabee. He uses his position as a pastor to gain popularity and get donations for his campaigne. He is also a HUGE supporter of Israel and that is exactly why we have so much trouble now. People like Mike Huckabee are so quick to stick their nose where it doesn't belong and support a bunch of lieing anti-christs like the Jews. In return that angers the muslims because the U.S. Government is helping their enemy. Don't think that will not have consequences. We don't need another neo-conservative in office. We need a real constitutionalist in office who really cares about our freedoms and rights.
The man and the hour have met. Ron Paul 2008!

Looking at the recent New Hampshire caucus results, I'm a bit dismayed. According to the CNN politics page, it shows Sutton NH as Zero votes for Ron Paul, but there are several people in Sutton that claim they DID vote for Ron Paul. Amazing how those votes disappear or aren't reported. Even if it was one person, CNN published zero for Paul.

If I absolutely had to vote for a democrat, Bill Richardson would have been my choice due to his stance on the Second Amendment compared to other democraps. Most democraps today are too blind to realize that they lose a great deal of votes because of their stances on gun rights. Some however have slowly gotten away from the gun issues, and no longer hold to the typical antigun views many democrats have held to. I know many gun owners who would rather vote for a democrat over a republican, but due to the 2A issues, they vote either for a republican or they don't vote at all. Typically the republicans have held a better voting record on gun issues, but some just like to give lip service. Takes Bush for example. He gained a lot of votes by claiming to be very pro 2A. However, just recently his own Justice Department issued an amicus to the Supreme Court upholding the D.C. gun ban. Gun owners are absolutely furious about that and many are asking that Bush rebuke them. I however do not see that coming. I believe this is just another step by Bush to make this a police state. When it comes to the worst Presidents in History, I would choose: Lincoln, Clinton, and Bush...in the orders in which they were elected. That certainly isn't all of them though. :-)

Ron Paul seems to be an honest--we are to speak the truth in love, but, oh, how tough to listen to it. Thanks for tolerating my two cents' worth. My son has a big Ron Paul sign on our property; I have to agree with his assessment of the candidates!

I Canadian...so I better state that first. But, as a homeschooling family, it appears that Ron Paul, is the only real candidate with an agenda that the homeschooling families would be interested in. I wouldn't vote for Obama or Hillary (I have done a lot of research on the Clinton's and I wouldn't vote for them at all).
