The United States Supreme Court has agreed to take the case of District of Columbia vs. Heller. D.C. enacted a gun ban on the cititizens of that district roughly 30 years ago depriving them from being able to carry firearms or even keep a fully assembled and loaded handgun in their home for protection. The U.S. court of appeals has already overturned this gun ban calling it unconstitutional. The district of columbia however is taking it to the supreme court who will rule on the case sometime in March of 08. This is the first major second ammendment case to be ruled on by the Supreme Court since 1939, over 70 years.

Do you believe the Supreme Court should uphold or overturn the D.C. gun ban?

It's a pity, however, that the ruling left so much room for regulations. You should see California regulations now! I'm happy for the D.C.ers, but will be most displeased if it grows to be even harder to purchase a gun.
