I'm thinking of starting one and feel that God is prompting me to. But I'm scared about it. Do any of you think its a good idea?

People would be able come for help, seek advice, ask for prayer or even ask questions about the Christian faith and become a Christian.

If i did start it i'd ask my friend to help me so i wouldnt be alone. please give me your opinions.

That would be nice, but perhaps school is not the best place. You know what I mean?

I go to a public school. We have quite a few Christian clubs. I'm in The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and FiSH! Club. We have a good amount of people at both clubs. A lot of teachers come too.

Dont worry about being alone just remember WWJD remember the martyrs they DIED for God the least you could do is risk your reputation in the end God will reward you with a crown of jewels. Let me tell you a story once there was a lady and her gardner they both went to church every week. The woman had been going to church all her life and had been saved at a very young age. The gardner very old had only been saved recently. One night the lady had a dream that she died in a car accident and went to heaven when Jesus said he was going to show her her mansion he brough her to two mansions one was Huge Ginormous and gorgeous one was only fair sized but still a mansion this is my mansion said the woman pointing to the larger one, no Jesus said thats your gardners mansion this is yours he said pointing to the fair sized one, Why asked the woman and I not more important then my gardner, well said jesus you never gave us much to work with. Now we all know Jesus is fair but the woman realized that she needed to be out doing something for God giving him something to work with. This is your opportunity, though we face many trials on this earth we will be rewarded in heaven no more sorrow no tears no evilness no discrimination no hate and no shunning I want you to do this not only for God and yourself but this going to sound really corny do it for me. I never had the courage to do something like that , now I am a homeschooler traveling all the time with my father. Now I will never have that chance again, I will be done with school in four years then I will be going off to college, I probably wont even go to college. Take this chance wile you can.

Hey there :)

I run a Christian Group at my school in New Zealand. It's great, but alot of hard work. If possible, I'd suggest you find a Christian teacher to help you out with it. Then you can use their classroom, etc and it makes it a whole lot easier to work around.

I'd also advise you get some members of your church to pray for you and your friend before you start it up.

I am a leader of a christian club at my school. The name is First Priority and we have dealt with many of the common problems with legalities and rights and so forth. But all I can say is that if God is telling you to do this, then it is your job to comply. Do you really want to be the one standing in the way of Christ's work? Or are you going to be a vessel for Him to work through you? You have to ask yourself this: "What is really holding me back from starting this?" What is the worst thing that will happen? The club will struggle at first and then continue to grow. If it is truly God's will then you are meant to do this. Don't hold Him or yourself back. Let everything fall into place.

Ive felt the same thing. I talked to my counselor at school, cuz we used to have one and I wanted to join but the teacher that did it retired, and no one else wanted to keep it going and he told me that I had to have a teacher to be in charge and what not.
I think its a good idea.
You should talk to your counselor or someone like that at your school.

That's cool, you should. At our school we have a Christian Club called Revival Club. We do what you said you wanted to do, and we have pizza.

Another thought.... do you want to really make it an offiliation of the school? I know that the club I help run right now is running into a little trouble because of school 'politics' where if you even want to discuss something off the record about your club it has to go on the record..... its a little more than frustrating.. what might be better for you to considder would be to get kids from school involved in a club that is non-school affiliated......

and 'Jesuslovesme' what I don't get is for christianity they wont let us do anything because we might descriminate against other religions... WELL! aren't we a religion they are descriminating against?????? but then again it makes you think, why are they afraid to let us preach? to let us do things? maybe because we actually make sense? not your fault I know, its just one of my pet peeves...lol
