My wife insist she wants a divorce. She says she is certain.

She is a new christian and has much to learn about God's word, life, etc.

I love her and I do not say I am perfect. I pray that God works with me to better myself and that I may be a help and positive influence upon others but I do realize my wife is naive in many ways, immature and very impatient. She has even admitted to me that she is impatient.

She said to me not long ago, "I'm a bad woman and you're a good man".

I told her NOBODY is perfect!

I don't expect her to be perfect as neither am I.

Reluctantly I signed the divorce papers and sent them to her today. I prayed that I am doing the right thing. I still believ God can help us, lead us, guide and direct us.

It is in her hands and in God's hands. Please pray with me that she will see the errors of divorce and be reconcilied with me. I love her dearly and cried many tears over the past few weeks.

I took the suggestion of many of you here and bought some books by Christian authors. I expect them to arrive tomorrow.

I pray several time a day about my life, family, marriage. We don't have any mutual children but I pray for her and her daughter as I love them both and desire to be a father to her daughter.

I THANK all of you here as you have been an inspiration to me and I can feel the workings of your prayers. I am calm and feel much better than I have in many weeks.

I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers as well.

May God bless everyone that so much as reads this forum!

Mark I pray that our Father in Heaven helps you and your wife reconcile if that is his will. Unfortunately for you and me, when we do live in HIS light he will answer our prayers. But there is another person involved here and if our spouses are not willing to follow Gods word in our situations, HIS will is probably not going to be done. I am sorry that you were faced with the papers, I have not yet been told that my husband is filing for divorce. He is a Christian and I believe it all depends on whether he listens to Gods word or not where we are concerned. It helps me tremendously to be able to speak with all of those on this board and to get prayers in return. I still have many moments when I have panic attacks over the whole thing, but I have been praying many times a day to hand everything over to God and I can feel him working in me to calm me when I am in prayer. That's comforting. Keep with God and keep reading his word and I do believe he will guide you to a better place.

Thank all of you for your prayers and I enjoyed chatting with some of you last night.

PLEASE keep praying for my marriage and for positive changes in my wife and MYSELF.

I made a good decision after God showed me somethings. I was slowly pushing my wife's financial responsibilities all onto her. I knew she probably wasn't making much money but God showed me that if I TRULY LOVE her, I should love her UNCONDITIONALLY and help her with her bills/finances WITHOUT any expectations/conditions.

I realize now, that is the right thing to do as Jesus loves us unconditionally!

God Bless!
