Hi, I have a prayer request for a family member. My brother-in-law had a terrible car accident. He rolled his car several times from what I understand. All of his ribs have been crushed including a part of his skull. He has blood clots on his brain so the doctors had to remove the top half of his skull to relieve the pressure. The have managed to stop internal bleeding. They claim his chances of survival are slim but there has been a slight improvement in that he is now unconsciously responding to touch. So he didn't break his back and sever any vertebres in his spine. I know this sounds quite graphic and uneasy to hear, but it is the reality. I believe the doctors are doing the best they can and do honestly believe his chances at this moment are not good, but I believe by the Grace of God he can survive. This means so much not only because he is family but he has two little girls he has been raising by himself and without him they will no longer have either parents. God willing he can survive to raise his two daughters as God knows they are close to their dad since the mother has never really been around. I would greatly appreciate your prayers for this man's full recovery. Thank you and God Bless each of you.

Lord almighty please keep this man in your care. Bring him home healthy to his girls for you know they need him. Please help his family cope and help him through. Let them all find peace in knowing you are near and your will will be done. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father:
Please Lord come into the heart of this individual and fill it with your awesome love. Heal this son of yours and make him whole once again so that he can continue doing your work and raising his daughters. His injuries are many and very serious, but we know that if it is your Will, he can be healed. Please guide the hands of the doctors and others care givers in helping and treating him. Please give this individual and his family members peace knowing that you are with them. Thru Jesus Name We Pray. Amen
Psalms 31:3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.
Joe, He will be in my prayers and so will his family.. Just trust that God can/will heal him, if it's His will..
God bless

Heavenly Father, watch over OneJoe's brother-in-law. Be with him in this time of great need. We know that through You anything is possible. Work through the hands of the medical staff treating him. No matter what happens, we know that it will be according to Your will. In the precious name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen.

Joe, as far as I know, the Lord hasnt stopped answering prayers.
Oh heavenly merciful Father, I pray that you might forgive me of my sins, that thru Jesus Christ you might hear all our prayers for this man and his family. Lord by your stripe's we know we are healed. You said for us to only ask and we shall recieve in the name of Jesus. I pray Holy Father that you will touch this man and heal him from head to toe. Precious Father, put your arms around his family and let them see you are real and that you still love your children. Show them your love and the power you have. Lord, for whatever reason this happened, I pray Lord it will draw them closer to you so that you will get all the Praise and glory for the healing your going to allow for them. In Jesus Christ Holy name, I ask this of you. Amen Amen I believe in my heart the Lord is going to answer this prayer. Tell his family to hold on to His word and keep the faith. He will not let them down.

Update... My brother-in-law is still in a coma. He is still considered critical and recently had 4 brain surguries in the same day to relieve the blood clots on his brain. During surgury his blood pressure fell dangerously low and his heart rate rose above 175 beats a minute. Though he is still hanging in the balance so to speak, God willing he is still fighting and clinging on to life. I appreciate your prayers. God bless you all.

Unfortunately I have received word a cat scan was done and the results show water on his brain and that he will be a vegetable if he was allowed to live. Therefore, it has been determined the most moral thing to do will be to pull the plug on the machines and allow nature to run its course. As of now, the machines are off and the doctors are waiting for him to die on his own even though he is currently still breathing. I am not one to lose faith in this dark hour. I realize the doctors say he is brain dead, but I fail to see how he could be completely brain dead if his brain is still controlling his breathing. Whether he lives or dies, may God's will be done. I continue to ask for your prayers for not only him, but for his two daughters who are starting to realize the severity of what has happened to their dad and their stability is becoming shaky. These are hard times we must all face at some point in our lives and I pray that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will comfort these two children in these troublesome days.

I continue to pray that God's will be done in this situation. It will be a hard time for you all, but with God's help, you all will make it though this difficult time. God bless you all.
I am so sorry to hear of the prognosis. It is up to God now and he is in his hands so his will will be done. Lord please comfort this family and especially these two little girls. Let them come to know you in all your Glory. Bring them peace that there father is with you and you will be with them, loving and guiding them through life. Lift these girls into your arms so they will have your love surrounding them and protecting them. You Lord, are our Strength and we all have times that we need to feel you to help comfort us. Amen

This all makes me realize how self-centered I can be and how small my problems really are. I prayed that if it's God's will then there will be a miracle and your friend will recover, but that no matter what that the girls will be taken care of.

This will be the final update. I have received news that my brother-in-law has now died. His life has been cut short, but that has to be God's will. As I have mentioned before, his daughters were not doing so well and now that its confirmed he has passed on, they are taking this very hard. His oldest daughter is only 10 and the other is 5. He was the sole provider for these two little girls. Their mother, my sister, is unfortunately not around and didn't really care when she was. Unfortunately, that is a sad reality to life in this world. Problems have now arisen with who will be the gaurdiens of these two young girls. With the mother not around, a rumor has arisen that my brother-in-law wanted his sister to take care of them if anything ever happened to him. I honestly don't believe that is a great idea since his sister isn't exactly leading a life that is legal even among mans laws, not to mention God's law. We will be having his funeral any day I'm sure. I am waiting to find out that information but I must admit seeing his little girls and their mental condition right now will be harder than any funeral I've been to. I can handle someone dieing, but knowing these young children's lives or future may largely depend on these other people, I pray God, if it be his will, that he may intervene for these two girls.
Lord it is now these two girls that we ask you to look out for. They are so young and do not have the strength at this critical time in their lives to come to you. Please hold them with your Love, Grace and Strength. Comfort them and let them feel your presence so they know someone does love them and that they are not alone. Keep your light burning so they may use it as a night light and come to know who you are and begin their own journey to find you. Please place them in a home that will love and nurture them and teach them of your love. I pray with all my heart and soul that you can reach them so they may one day understand your will of their fathers death. I would open my home to them if they would seek refuge with me, but I do not know them or where they are. And please do not let this make them hard or bitter, keep their hearts soft and good and open to finding you. With these words I pray in your name Lord. Amen

Hello Joe,
You, your family, and especially these two young girls will remain in my prayers. I lost my mom to a car accident when I was 12 and my dad was already out of the picture. God reached his hands down and protected me and provided me a "family" through my church. I will definitely continue in prayer that he will hold these two young ones in His hands.
Father God, we come to you and praise you...for you are God. We know that your eye is on the sparrow...you count the hairs on our heads...you are all knowing and powerful. And, so, Lord, we come asking you to wrap your arms around these two young ones who seem so alone in this world. We ask that you sustain them and provide them with a good home and the intimite knowledge of your love and care. Please comfort and support them. Encourage those who might step up to be a part of these young lives to do so. We know that you are in control, Lord and ask all this in Jesus name and as He would pray...not my will Father, but thine. Amen
God bless!

Joe:
I am so sorry for your loss and for the little girl's loss as well. My heart breaks knowing the pain that they must be enduring. I pray with all heart for God's intervention and that these girls will be placed in the best home for them. I also pray that the Lord has reached down and carried your brother in law to his kingdom. I further pray for strength for you and your family in dealing with these difficult times.

Joe, I pray that God will be with you and help you get through this death of a family member and I pray for his children and all of his family that they would become closer together and know that you are there for them whenever they ask you for understanding and give them the strength to carry on as they wake up each day realizing that someone they love is no longer with them.
In Jesus name - Amen
