:-(
I just feel spiritually worn out, me and my wife have been battling her sickness which is lupus for the last 5 years. Sammie (user name) has allways had it. But it has got progressively worse. In the last Year sammie has had cancer. We get practically no family support as the rest of the family is all tied up in there own thing, and no time....
This has just taken it right out of me and i feel at the end of my tether with the consistent runs into hospital.
this sounds like a genuine christian site, So my problem is i am sick and worn out almost to spiritual death, with the whole thing. I get the feeling that being a believer was meant to be a simple life, but man is making it complicated beyond recognition
I was in at councilling today for the first time, it well im not quite sure what to think at this stage.
Just to much has happened recently. I have been betrayed somewhere else, i thought i was safe, but wasnt, and there was a lot of fear and bias there. Sammie thought so as well.

Dear loving Father, You know how Moonlight feels. Touch him and pour blessings in his life. Help him to claim the victory in his situation. Help him to use the authority he has in Jesus Christ to pull down the strongholds he faces in his life. Father, set him and his wife free from the enemy, protect them and fill them with faith. Give them a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit. Help them to put all their trust in You and to deepen their relationship with You. Give them wisdom to do and say all according to Your will. Fill them with a peace and joy that surpass all understanding. Help them to keep their eyes on Jesus, no matter what. May Your grace, mercy and love abound in their lives. In the name Jesus I pray. Amen!

I understand being weary, spiritually sick and tired. I have been there many times. I hate to admitt it. But remember the scripture, God said he would never leave you nor forsake you. I believe that is in the Bible for people like you and me who do get tired and weary. It is God's way of encouraging us, give us that extra umph to keep us going when we feel like we can't. Believing it is half our battle you know?
I heard it said before, when you feel like you are at the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on for dear life...lol. I have been there too. I want you to know that what you are feeling is not all wrong or bad, it is human emotion. We do tire even as christians. At times like this I try to find my "prayer closet". A place alone with God that He will meet me and let me feel His presence to strengthen and renew me. Like the refreshing drink from the fountain of life.
I pray that you find that place of renewing today and I pray God will strengthen you for the rest of your journey. You are not alone in your battle. You are just battle weary.
God didn't promise we wouldnt battle in this life, only that He would be with us through the battle. I have a song I sing at church once in a while. Look it up on line or at a christian book store, it is called "Through the Fire". It just hits the right places with its simple message. The part that touches me is;"He never promised that the cross would not get heavy, or hill would not be hard to climb, He never offered our victories without fighting, but He said help would always come in time, just remember when your standing in the valley of decision and the advisary says give in, Just hold on, Our Lord will show up, and He will take you throught the fire again." How wonderful is that. What a message and a promise. I hope this will encourage you today.
God bless you and your wife,
Sunnie

I kinda understand a little bit. I lost a friend to terminal brain cancer, not to get you discouraged. I will pray for her. I know it is very hard to still trust that God knows what is best and what he is doing but take Psalms 23:5 and meditate on the phrase that saids "my cup runeth over." It saids to me that God not only gives us the strength, wisdom, ect. to get through each day, but gives us more. our cup runeth over it saids. I hope I could be of some help, even though I can not imagine the pain you are going through.

God will never give us more than we can handle. When all else fails, He is always there. Give your burdens to Him, so that he might bear them for you. You and your wife will be in my prayers. God bless you both.
You and Sammie are in my prayers. I believe that many of us that first came to the CCF, came because their trails were to much for them. I know that was my case. I found strength and peace and much more. The closer I become to the Lord, the easier it seems to handle the trials. Perhaps easier is not the right word....perhaps it is knowing that I have the faith now to handle the trials. I pray that you come to have the faith to overcome your trials. Never give up on the Lord,,,,,,he doesnt give up on us.
Psalms 31:3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

thanks for all your prayers and concern, me and sammie are blown away by all the love and support of fellow christians. thank you all. I wish i could say things are better with sammie but things are the same, i have followed some of your good advice and talked to her caregivers, and they are looking into options so that i can have a break. Thanks again God is a great God to serve.

Moonlight,
I am sorry things are so difficult right now, but "Jesus is your strength". Let Him guide you & your wife in all ways! He is always there with you no matter what. Sounds like the devil is trying to wear you down, do not let him. Remember he is a liar. Read Psalm 91:1 I was given this verse awhile ago & it has gotten me through alot of tough times! Let Jesus be your strength! Remember topraise Him through the storms of life!!!

Hang in there! You are in my prayers. I can honestly relate to you!
I dealt with an auto immune disorder ,which doctor's thought was lupus ,many years ago. It was horrificly painful and it too, took everything away from me at the time, including my faith. I did not understand "how God could allow me to hurt so badly". I turned from God out of anger. I had many unanswered questions which eventually brought me back to him and made my faith even stronger over time. My pain lasted for a few years and then suddenly went away.
Shortly after, I was diagnosed with Melanoma. I am clear of the cancer now. The trials we go through seem minor compared to what God sacrificed for us. Hold on and be strong! You are not alone. Things will get better! You are in my prayers!

Im still praying for you both, and that your cold gets better.
Thanks for my prayer too, Lucy
heres some verses for you,
John 3 v16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 14 vv 1-3 Do not let your hearts be troubles, trust in God; trust also in me. In my fathers house there are many rooms, if it were not so I would have told you. I am going to there to prepare a place for you. And if i go there and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place I am going.
Revelations 21 v 4 - He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things have passed away.
Psalm 23 v 4 Even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff they confort me.

Get ready for God to bless you, to renew your strength like the eagle. Do not be decieved in your weakness, but continue to follow God. He is the only way out of this. I will pray for you and your wife Sammie. God bless you through these hard times, and in the good times to come.

Hey Moonlight,
The devil knows your weaknesses, you have got to get into Gods word & stand on His promises, He will not give you more than you can bare! Suit up with the full armour of God and go to the enemy camp & take back what satan stole from you. Take back your happiness, joy & peace! I am praying for you!
In Jesus name,

I'm sorry to hear this Moonlight. Nobody said this walk was going to be easy, But Jesus has not brought this far to leave you.
Check this:
Psalm 3:1-3 - "O Lord, how my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me. Many are saying of my soul, 'there is no delievrance for him in God.' But You O Lord are a shield about me, my glory and the One who lifts my head."
I will pray for you and your wife

I am sorry you have to go through this. You are in my prayers. Spend some time reading Job. Ask God to strengthen you while you wait on healing. I truly hope that you and your family will be out of this dilemma soon. God bless.
