Has anybody here ever been active in a pro-life movement or a member of a pro-life organization?

I used to picket at an abortion mill. I haven't since I moved though. Why do you ask?

I don't know, I guess I'm just curious. I feel very strongly about being pro-life but I've never really "done" anything about it, but I would like to. I just wanted to learn what others have done to support the cause.

I participated in a rally once, but that's it. I don't get the opportunity to do much.

I live in St. Louis, but believe it or not, there aren't many "pro life activities" around. I think that's because with the crime rate here being as high as it is, they probably figure that any sort of peaceful protest would inevitably turn in to a riot.

I live in a small town and there just isn't much people want to do here and it's hard for me to travel to larger cities to participate.

I used to enjoy talking to people about the pro life movement, and I've even had friendly debates... I kind of backed off after the latest debate though... it had to do with a source that I used that was older than I realized. The person who I was having the debate with had a more current source that totally shut me down. It was about what week the nerves develop. She had research showing that they don't develop until 22 weeks, and it was research done within the past year. After that, I kind of stopped... I just felt tired having to constantly defend those who couldn't defend themselves. This isn't me saying that I'm done, this is just me saying that I need to take some down time to do more research and get the most current sources out there and strengthen my arguments. If I can save one baby, I will have done my job in this world.

Always remember no matter how good the intentions to always pray and ask that God would use you in a good way to Glorify His name. Pray that He will have His way in your life. If you do this He will bless You continually and He will use you in a great and might way.
God bless :-)

I was in a march. We had over 10,000 christians, marching the streets of San Francisco, standing against abortion. You would expect there to be a lot more opposition, but since last year's march, we got close to doubling in number and they had many less. I sometimes go with my church and picket, as well. This is a very serious thing. Millions are dieing, before they have had a chance to be born.

Psalms 139:13-14 "For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well."

Children are not a choice, whether to be born or not. Children are not a burden, they are a blessing. Let the Lord choose, if we have kids, not us. Take care.

I would class myself as pro-life, and i do debate abortion on the online forums of which i am part, but i am not actively part of any organisation.

I've debated on forums countless times, but I have a very busy work schedule and don't have the time lately... I'm already stressed out enough as it is with my career. This is the only forum that I am a part of at the moment because I can come here and have friendly discussions without my blood pressure crashing through my roof (and buying a new roof would cause more stress than I can take... lol... :))

FYI: Did you know that, at one time, (I don't think we do anymore) the US sent money to other countries to fund abortions?

President Bush in his Proclamation on National Sanctity of Human Life Day, Jan 20,2006:
One of my first actions as President was to sign an order banning the use of taxpayer money on programs that promote abortion overseas.

Just thought that was interesting and disturbing to know that our tax money was used to kill babies in other countries.
