CAN YOU LEAVE ANY ONE OF THESE OUT?

1. Confession --1 John 4:2 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
2. Grace -- Ephesians 2:8 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
3. God -- 1 Timothy 2:2-4 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
4. The Gospel -- Romans 1:16 16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
5. Repentance -- Acts 11:18 18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.
6. Spirit -- Titus 3:5 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
7. Blood -- Romans 5:9 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!
8. Works -- James 2:24 24 You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
9. Jesus -- Matthew 1:21 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, {21 Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means the LORD saves.} because he will save his people from their sins."
10. Baptism -- 1 Peter 3:21 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-- not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge {21 Or response} of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
11. Belief -- Acts 16:31 31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-- you and your house

charles, we have already discussed on other threads the topic of our "Salvation" which is acquired by faith alone (a living faith produces works while a dead faith produces no works) and not of any works lest man can boast. I think a true christian believes firmly that his salvation is solely by the grace of God, a grace is something not earned, an unmerited favor.

To sum it up in corelation to your post, yes we are saved BY FAITH which produces works, it is God's grace alone. This truth confirms the following:

1. Confession --1 John 4:2 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, - Faith initiates the confession that Jesus has come in the flesh.

2. Grace -- Ephesians 2:8 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— this is the basic scripture we hold for our salvation

3. God -- 1 Timothy 2:2-4 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. We emphasize God is the Grace-giver.

4. The Gospel -- Romans 1:16 16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. - Everyone who believes the gospel has faith.

5. Repentance -- Acts 11:18 18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life. - repentance is the fruit of the works that is initiated by our faith in Christ.

6. Spirit -- Titus 3:5 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, - Exactly, again not by the our righteousness but by the Spirit of God, again pointing back to God's grace.

7. Blood -- Romans 5:9 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! Amen, the blood of Christ alone cleanses our sin, that is our faith.

8. Works -- James 2:24 24 You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. Right, living faith produces good works.

9. Jesus -- Matthew 1:21 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, {21 Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means the LORD saves.} because he will save his people from their sins." Oh what a wonderful Name, our Saviour who saves us, the loud declaration of our faith.

10. Baptism -- 1 Peter 3:21 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-- not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge {21 Or response} of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, baptism is an appeal to God for good conscience and points us to the resurrection of Jesus Christ that saves us, and not the immersion of removing the dirt from the flesh;

11. Belief -- Acts 16:31 31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-- you and your house Again, belief/faith saves us

Well Hello germanjoy again:
germanjoy, what city are you in? I was in Bremerhaven, Germany (northwest Germany) for two years. I got there in November (Thanksgiving day) of 1959 and left in March of 1961. Just curious.

One other thing, you know the Greek word for believe and faith are one and the same. Of course the Greek endings may be a little different, but from
the same Greek root.

Hi charles, I am living in a small city which is located near the big cities of Münich, Augsburg, Kempten, Memmingen, Garmish and Füssen. My place is about an hour and a half car drive to Austria and 2-3 hrs. train drive to Switzerland.

I know where Munich is. I visited Munich while stationed in Bremerhaven. My whole time in Germany included a 8 week tour, with the 6th fleet, (on U.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt, aircraft carrier) of the Mediterranean Sea and all it's port cities, like Naples etc.
I also spent almost two years in northwest Africa. I wasn't a Christian while I was in Germany or Africa. Wish I would have been. I met some very nice people while in both countries. I ended up marrying a 5th generation German from Gonzales, Texas.
I was with the Naval Security Group (NavSecGrp) while in the Navy. It's a group like the NSA. (I also spent four years with 4th Marine Division)

It really sounds like you are located in a nice place. I loved Germany when I was there. Being from Texas I had not seen much snow. I can remember the first time it snowed while I was in Bremerhaven. I can remember how happy I was to see it, but it snowed, snowed, and snowed... I think it ended up with about two or three feet of snow. Never seen so much! lol

Anyway, the Lord be with you.
your servant in Christ,
