Have Your own way Lord
Have Your own way,
Whatever Your will Lord
In our lives day by day
Not what we want Lord
But just as You will
Condition our minds
In obedience for we still
Try to do things
Without asking You first
Remind us to pray
Put our minds in reverse
When we race down the track
With our minds set on GO
Just pull us back gently
So we Lord will know
What it is for Your children
You would have us to do
Keep our minds set on Jesus
So we're stuck fast like glue
Have your own way Lord

Let us be without blemish
As You mould us - Your clay
Whatever Your will Lord
For Thy will be done
As we go forth today Lord
And remember Your Son.

That's really challenging ... I like the part where you say "Remind us to pray
Put our minds in reverse" ... that makes me giggle because ... umm ... i don't know it just made me giggle x

I am glad that my poem brought a smile to your face and made you giggle but I hope also it made you think. I need to be "pulled" back gently on occasion when my mind is "full steam" ahead without consulting with God first. :( Have a good day or night as the case might be! :-)

I am happy for you to use my poem. :-) There must have been a reason I wrote it and I definitely need to apply the message to my life. Maybe it can be used to reach others. However why do you need to use my real name? Can't you just use "Anonymous" Australia? I would rather not post my real name on the board, sorry! :( Maybe there is another way.........
