I was recently in the hospital, a psychiatric facility for schizoaffective disorder. There were demons persecuting me for my belief in Jesus Christ, and His salvation. I believe that this was a test of my faith, and God is truly a merciful, gracious, and loving Lord for delivering me from this living hell. Beware the idols of psychiatry, psychology, and human reasoning. I take many pills a day for my symptoms, but it is only through the Mighty Counselor that my sanity is maintained. Also, I would like to extend a prayer up to God for those suffering with mental illness. In many instances, they are greatly misunderstood. God bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ, the risen Savior!

Hey believingloner :)
Thankyou for sharing with us here in Christian Chat Forum. Sorry to hear you have been having such a rough time but it's just great that you know that God is truly a Great and loving God. He is always with us. (Matt.28.20) even when we feel that nobody else is there for us. As for your illness - there but for the Grace of God go I. We never know when depression could hit us but don't ever take your eyes of Jesus our Lord and risen Saviour. He loved you then and He loves you now. :-) God bless.
Zephaniah 3 verse 17
The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Hi! believingloner. Whether we like it or not, demons are real and yes they do everything in their power to destroy and to inflict not only physical but also mental illnesses to any follower of Jesus Christ. The good news is GREATER is Christ who is in us than the demons who are in the world.
Demons recognize and tremble at the sight of every child of God. I would not say so if I had not personally experienced it myself not as a psychiatric patient but as a newly born-again christian. I met a demon-possessed man chasing people on the busy street of Manila and was throwing things at them. When he saw me, he looked at me with flaming red eyes and said: "You are the one of Jesus. I hate you 'coz you are of Jesus." He tried to attack me but kept on returning to his place (as if there was a thick wall between us preventing him from coming near me). He tried to throw something at me but ended up throwing it to the other side. He repeated many times that I am of Jesus. Then I replied: "Yes I am, now in the name of Jesus get out of that man". Immediately, the man calmed down, the redness in his eyes instantly disappeared and he sat quitely along the roadside.
The NAME OF JESUS is the MOST POWERFUL NAME that drives demons away from anyone possessed with it. It takes the BODY OF CHRIST to act upon it and bring deliverance to those afflicted by it.
It is of utmost importance for us christians to be prepared for such encounters. We need to be equipped at all times with the FULL ARMOR of God that we may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm, therefore, having girded your loins with TRUTH, and having put on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod your feet with the PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the SHIELD OF FAITH with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take the HELMET OF SALVATION, and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is THE WORD OF GOD. Ephesians 6:12-16
Glory, honor and praises belong to Jesus Christ my Lord alone!
