As a child I remember singing a song called "Count your blessings" at Sunday School. Back then I just thought it was a great song without really knowing what it meant. Now of course I do. Let's hear some great positive feedback about how God has "heaped" his blessings on you either in the past or just recently! Of course He blesses us each and every day. With so many negative forces around we need to be reassured of how great our God is and hear about what He has done for us.

God has blessed me by saving my husband spiritually through His Grace and saved him twice medically from Cardiomyopathy and a defunct aortic heart valve. I see His blessings in the sunshine, the rain, the flowers, the wind, the sea, the shore, the sky, my children, the birds. I am blessed by this Chat Room and the new friends I have within it. I have been blessed with new opportunities and challenges to serve God. God has blessed me with continuing work, a home, food on our table. God is just sooooooo amazing. Great is the Lord and greatly to be Praised! Amen!!

My finger. It broke, yes, but it gave me no pain. It was fast healing and grew back perfectly straight, so that I didn't need a cast or surgery. I am very thankful, for that, and am happily givin a study all, to replace my p.e. class, so I have an extra hour of homework each day. Over all, my finger has givin me more blessing then burdens. Praise the Lord! (this is the shortest chapter in the bible)

Psalms 117: Praise the Lord, all you gentiles! Laud him, all you peoples! For his merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!

My "latest blessing" occurred on Dec. 26, 2005. My father-in-law fell down the stairs after getting almost to the top and laid unconscious, with head wounds and bleeding on the asphalt floor of his house. Immediately, my 10-year daughter fell into her knees and prayed to Jesus to rescue her grandfather and to keep him from harm and death. The old man was confined in the hospital and MIRACLE UPON MIRACLE did not incur a single fracture in his body, he came out of the dead accident SAFE AND WHOLE. It was at the same time that a known actor also fell from the stairs, went into coma and died of brain hemorrhage. The actor is 60 years old and my father in law is, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, 80 years old. GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD! Amen!

Hey germanJoy that was a wonderful blessing. :-) Praise God for He is good! How wonderful too that your 10 year old daughter prayed for your father-in-law that Jesus would keep him from harm and death. Such faith. :-D I take it your father-in-law is fully recovered now?

Well, I guess I did experience a miracle. When I was born, the chord was wrapped around my neck and I was blue and purple. Mom and Dad knew something was wrong, but the doctor's wouldn't tell them and they said I was "just fine. That's the way all babies look." Anyway, I thank God for letting me live to see every new day and to have the family I have. I am most thankful that I was born into a family that believes in God and that I was taught about salvation. I am so blessed to be able to go to Heaven.

Yes, Angel, my father-in-law has not broken a single bone. He only has to recover from colds (due to cold winter here) and stabilize his blood pressure but he will be out of the hospital tomorrow. He has fully recovered and is walking normal.

CowExpert...my 10-year old daughter was also born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. I told her that she was a miracle baby. I personally knew a former relative of mine who was born exactly in the same manner you were born. Her brain was somehow affected. Physically, she grew up normal but with mental disabilities. She became an abnormal child and her mental growth did not develop anymore when she turned 5. She was behaving like a 5 year old even as a grown-up. She never went to school.

When I told this story to my daughter, she was so grateful to God she knew she is special in His eyes.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!! :)

Wow, when I stop to count I have so many.

This summer when i began to have car problems (went through three cars, and one twice before getting the one I have now) I used this exercise to count all the many good things in my life that God had given me.

I am blessed with my two children, my roof over my head, the fact that there is always food on the table, and a job to pay the bills. I was and am blessed to have such a wonderful community around me -- I never missed a day of work and probably was without a car a total of three months in that time period. I am blessed with my local church which gives me a place to sing the praises of God and which always points me back to Him. I am blessed to be in a church which opens its altar to prayer everyweek. I am blessed to be in choir at my church that sees its musica as a ministry -- not as a performance outlet. I am so blessed to be in this on-line fellowship where I am encouraged in my walk with the Lord and challenged to study His word more. A place where I fell God can use me, also, to encourage others as we walk through this world together learning to be in the world, but no of the world.

And most of all, i am blessed with the grace of God which was there before me, surrounded me, moved me on, rushed past me and wooed me to it -- all a work of God. Thank you Lord, for holding me in your hands. Amen.

So many wonderful things in this thread! Praise the Lord. I am glad that we can all take some time to thank the Lord for life, faith and strength. He has given us our hearts, our minds, our will, and our love, and at the end of the day also himself that we may know fellowship with him! Hallelujah!

Wow what a wonderful thread that we can Praise the Goodness of our Father. He has done so much for me in the 6 years I have known him. there have been countless blessings great and small along with answered prayers although some I didn't like the answers too lol but it all comes for good. As I look back and remember my life before salvation, I have to wonder how I made it this far without Him. Every new morning I have is a true blessing given the fact that God holds our very breath in His hands.

I have several blessings.... these may not seem big to some, but I am single young woman living on my own, and I'm struggling a bit right now, so I feel as though any little help I get is a huge blessing to me!

I purchased a home at the beginning of the year, and since I have had 'financial struggles'... I have been down to negative $300.00 (LITERALLY!) in my bank account and PRAISE THE LORD I still have a roof over my head! I still have enough money to take care of myself every week, and I haven't been overdrawn since the beginning of the year... God is helping my financial situation... that is a HUGE blessing for me, as it is something that I have been praying for since January!

Also, I was in the hospital at the end of last year, and my insurance didn't cover it (I tried to fight the insurance company, but it didn't do me any good). Praise God, He has allowed me to be able to have all but $200.00 of it paid off, and I hope to have that paid off by the end of this month.

I have quite the zoo here, and I have had to visit the emergency vets twice this month. Anyone who has animals knows that you can't leave the emergency vets for under $200.00 most of the time... but also, most people who have pets don't see money as an object when it comes to their health. Anyhow, it is a blessing to me that my animals that are sick seem to be improving; and my family remains in good health, as do I (aside from this awful cold... :lol).

Praise God for all of the small things that I seem to forget about during the course of the day.... all the little things that I don't think about, like waking up and not feeling ill, or not getting in a wreck on my way to work, or all of the times that I am able to smile during the day... the things that I, like most people, take for granted.

Praise Him for my many blessings! AMEN!

I have quite a few blessings that have been bestowed upon me...as i grow in God i want more and to have a lot of material i can look to so that i can be tter understand his word and everything...and i have quite a few spiritual autobiographies and stuff focusing on ur spiritual walk with Christ and i have several things to help me understand the scripture and what is has to say.I now a great deal about the bible considering i have only been On Fire for Him since like shortly before the beginning of this year...and im just getting closer and closer to God...i have already accepted the gift of tongues and interpretaion(waiting to manifest it) and im fasting and im focusing on putting on the whole armor of God right now and being the Evangelist that i have just recently felt i am called to be so i submitted myself to God on that one also and im gonna start remembering a lot of scriptures to help me fend of the devil and to help me grow in Christ and focus on a lot of his promises that he gives us in the bible and then im gonna start reading a book called"praying the names of God" its like a 26 week process focusing on Gods names and getting closer to him.I also have the Holy Spirit speak through me pretty regularly. So...if u ever have any questions feel free to ask me and if i dont know the answer i will first turn to my material that i have which is a great deal of things...if i dont find ur answer there i will ask someone and find out for you. May God richly bless yall as he has me and peace be with yall GBY i will be praying for all of you. Those that are here right now and those that are to come here. :)

Hey Rylee & Godsent :-)

Thanks for adding a thread to my post! Yes you both have been blessed so much. Sometimes at the time we don't feel as if we are being blessed but in retrospect as we look back we realise that , yes, we have been blessed so so much. It's amazing though how we stress about so many things and at the end of the day (or the week, or the month lol) it usually all works itself out especially when we remember to give it to the Lord in prayer. Doesn't always work out how we want it to but then we certainly don't always know what is best either. Having what we want is not the same as having what we need but our God knows what we need even before we do. :-D

Phillippians4 verses 4-8

Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things.

May God keep blessing you both abundantly!
