I found another trial of enormous size

Waiting before me, before my unbelieving eyes

I said, “ LORD, I’m so weary, too tired to go on

If you don’t mind me asking, I just want to come home”

But His plan was different and was to strengthen my trust

So onward I trudged through the storm and through the dust

Through terror and sorrow, blood. sweat, and tears

This journey has seemed like it has taken me years

But when I got to the top and in His presence stood still

What I thought was a mountain was just a little hill

Standing in His presence I’m feeling His touch

This journey He has brought me through has taught me so much

In the valley of decision I’ve been tested and tried

Life’s problems can all be faced when He’s by my side

I’m up on the top where the SON shines so bright

I find that God’s loving Son has been my Ray of Light

He has showered me with love and gave me a new song to sing

I find I love this blessed place right under His wing

No matter how battered and tired I may feel

What I thought was a mountain was just a little hill

Kittyma, :-)

This lady has certainly been through a lot and because of it she she was inspired to create this verse which captures everything she has been through. Thank you for sharing it here at CCF.

Thanks for this inspiring poem. I have problems swirling around me all the time it seems. I needed then encouraging words of this poem.

In Him,

That was very touching and an inspiration and testimony of the power of God's grace. "Because he lives we can face tomorrow," and he gives us the strength to live today. Those words can be just cliques unless, like your friend, we find yourself in the firey furnace of refinement. Then faith is put to the test. It is then that we see Jesus standing with us, protecting us from the flames.
