So easy to say something wrong in a way
That makes others feel sorry and sad
We don't always think about what will come out
And then hey it just comes out real bad
We need to ask God more to help us with this
This "foot in mouth" problem for sure
It's a problem we all have that's hard to resist
We can ask God to help us to cure
That compunction to open our mouths and just talk
Without thinking about what we'll say
And whether or not we'll affect someone else
Who maybe has had a bad day
Some people are happy while others are sad
And some feeling anxious or glum
There are others triumphant, puzzled or glad
While some find that "words" just won't come
So when you come into the chat room to chat
Be aware of the others there too
Try just tuning in to where "someone is at"
If you can I know God will bless you
I too must follow my own advice
While writing these words to you all
We must love one another as commanded by Christ
Whether large, whether small, whether tall
So have a good day all my friends in this room
Be prepared to give witness to Him
And always give reasons for Hope when there's gloom
So God's light will shine when it's dim!
