I would like to know what the Christian community has to say about surrogacy. If you don't know what surrogacy is it is carrying a baby for someone that may not other wise be able to have a child. The surrogate gets to choose IVF or Artificial Insemination.

I do not beleive that it is biblical for the sole purpose that , sexual relationship is to be between the husband and wife and if this is done , it would adultery, and much worse a lack in faith towards Gods word.

I believe that it is very selfish to go that route! IF it is in God's will, then you will have babies. If you are not able to have babies...then why not help care for the abandoned and needy ones?? Yes God said to multiply, but I'm not sure He said that is was His will for everyone to be having babies. My view is that you should think about what glorifies God most...you having a baby that is 'yours' (nothing is ours anyways, it's all God's) or caring for His babies. Just my thoughts :o)

Dear grtlilfam, below is the low-tech approach to the same problem. Please read the whole story past the three verses I give, to see if it produced the desired results. We can do many things to go around God's will for our life, and He does forgive, but the consequence can be grevious. Even with Lot's incestious relationship with his daughters, God can, and does have good come as with Ruth as a Moabite being an ancestor of Mary who bore Jesus, but that is not what God wanted of Lot. Lot is still proclaimed "Just", but missed the best he could have had. May God bless you in wisdom, to know His will in your decision in Jesus' name - larry :)

Genesis 16:1-3

1 Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.

2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

3 And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

Dear grtlilfam, I moved this thread to this new location from the "Polls & Suggestions" board. It appeared quite far down the page, so I'm bumping it to the top so that many can respond to it if they want to. God bless you in Jesus' name - larry :)
