OK now what

ok so it's like this... like probably a million others i am looking for a spouse. i haven't been around that much and am not too bright, but my goodness... what a bunch of crazies i have encountered, and certainly no real christian guy, even if they say they are. i realize i have high expectations, but oh my. and lastly, no guy my age - that i am attracted to anyways - asks me out. how weird, but guys like 20 years younger ask me out all the time. i don't get it. i've been on the dating service thing, online and others, and usually have to print it somewhere that i wont go out with 30 somethings. my son is 32, i mean, how weird is that? guys my age don't seem to notice me, i guess i'm chubby or whatever, and they seem to want the 30-somethings girls, the trophies i guess. totally messed up. you'd think there'd be somebody christian, decent, tall, nice looking to me, and not someone who would want me to support him; non-drinker, non-smoker, not a cheater... ah well. i guess God knows my address when the rite one comes along... but it is frustrating and lonely, anyways.

There is nothing wrong with having high expectations! We are children of the Most High God. We should have them.

When I got divorced after a spouse that cheated repeatedly I didn't want anything to do with men. But one day I started to think about it.

So, I made a list. Yes, a list. Everything I wanted and didn't want. Then I made a scripture list and started to pray for my future husband.

Within 3 months I found an email from this guy I graduated with 23 years earlier. He saw my Christian email address on our reunion website. That was it! I knew when I saw his email! Hadn't seen him in 23 years but I knew.

He's funny, romantic, loves God, hard worker, sexy (yeah, I said sexy!), does dishes, does his own laundry and he's Italian . We were together 5 months and he bought me a house! We are now married almost 4 years.

God is good and He is faithful!

The only downside? He snores. Didn't want a snorer but I dont care. He's Italian!!!! :-D

Hi Lilly, good to see you on here. You have many reasons to complain, but not before God. To discourage those young guys, take down that great picture of you, and to encourage those of your age please leave it up. Dear sister in Christ, when God knows you are really ready, and for your good, He will bring you the perfect one to spend your life with. You have been such a joy here on chat with us, and the guy who lands you will be one blessed person, even if you do like Texas; we all have faults - lol.
