Oh child I say
in the circumstance ahead
do not dread, for I will
always be there Oh child
just take my hand

can you not see
who I am, I am walking on water
my feet are not upon
even one grain of sand
Oh child just take my hand

You came so faithfully, the others
stood caught in fear
for they feared I was a ghost
not a father, brother or heavenly
host
Oh child just take my hand

when you first came upon these waters
I could see your faith, was as tall as a mountain
then slowly it died, and you fell to the waters
in these times just take my hand

This is how we start
with our faith so strong
mountains are neither in our way
as we say in each verse of our song
yet what of the words others shall soon say
then your faith is weekend, and you fell
into those cold waters, where you life
seemed to flash till its end

yet this I say
Oh child just take my hand
and I will take yours
& while your faith is weekend I
will strengthen you, and I myself
will grab your hand and we both
shall walk on these waters

Thank you Seeking Him 92 for your poem. :-) I don't remember reading this one but I like it very much and it reminds us that although we love Him there are times we forget He is there and if we only would lean on Him more we would feel so much better in knowing that yes He is in control. I will look forward to reading any more poems you may write. ;)
