View Full Version : Getting My Feet Wet

It's about 4 am and I can't sleep. I haven't been posting because of fear that I wouldn't have anything to say that was "intelligent" enough :r for the others who frequently post. Jesus is my constant companion and because He lives, I can face challenges and not worry about how I'm coming across!
I love being in the chat room and meeting new friends who have been such a blessing in my life.:-) Sometimes we're silly, sometimes serious. It's all good.
I'm not well-versed in the Bible and plan to keep learning as I travel through this adventure called "life" one day at a time. I like what I've heard about the Bible -- Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.
God has given me so much -- including a sense of humor which has helped me survive some of the hard bumps in the road and blesses other people with laughter...not that I'm a comedian or try to be funny...it just is, and thank you, Lord, for the gift.

Hi Joyzzie,
As a frequent poster, it pains me to hear you say you have or had a fear of posting and I've wondered if there aren't others out there with the same feeling. Perhaps, there are a lot of lurkers but not as many participants as perhaps there would be except for fear. So I address this to you and anyone else out there that is of this same concern.
I have been an ignorant wretch all of my life and continue to be so ;) The only difference now is, I am wise enough to recognize how great God is and how weak I am. The curious trick to that is, while you think you're smart, you're not really and once you realize you're an idiot than that seems to be when God has you right where He wants you. Then you pray for wisdom and all of this stuff comes rushing at you and you begin to understand the world in ways you never could've possibly imagined.
I say this to say, don't worry about the smart guys. Either they're proud of their intellect, in which case they're ignorant and confounded. Or they are grateful to God for wisdom, in which case they are humble and patient. Either scenario should hopefully encourage you to post away and let it all hang out.
Grace and peace to you.
Joyzzie

Thanks for your encouraging words Rufus. Now that my feet are wet, I might become a posting (I don't want to say fool) maniac!
