My husband wants me to help lead him to salvation even though he's in the "WORLD". I had given him a (what he says is a ultimatum) the option to serve the lord with me or me and the kids were gone. Was I wrong? he says he wants his family and i am not showing him to the lord by my repeated leaving. he says me leaving doesn't make him want to be near god reasons being he says that the lord is taking his family away and he says that doesn't seem god like. What should i do?:bible

Dear Godschild 219, I have responded to you on your threads titled "Thinking of Divorce" and "Tired of Suffering", and then you had threads titled "God's views on Marriage, Will You Be Punished", and "Should a Pastor agree to Divorce a
problem Solving Solution, and I wouldn't doubt more.
You life is becoming a soap opera of sorts, and you seem to want all to know. You've had countless words of advice, and encouragement from different responses using Biblical references, and you still do not seem to understand any of it.
If the word of God is not satisfying you, you may want to see a worldly counselor.
May God bless you and give you the answer to your problem in His word in Jesus' name - larry

You cannot "lead" your husband to salvation.... that is a work God alone can do..
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
I had given him a (what he says is a ultimatum) the option to serve the lord with me or me and the kids were gone. Was I wrong?
Where does the bible give you permission to give such threats to your husband...??
Was I wrong?
You were clearly wrong...
What should i do?
You said before you had already made that decision... You said you were going to stay with him, and be a wife to him....what happened to that decision...?? I agree with larry....

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Pro 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

I have to agree with the group GC219..you have had alot of this same issue brought up before..and last I read you were dead set about staying and working on forgiveness..I have to agree with your hubby too..your actions are not what one would expect from one walking with God..you seem as earthly( worldly) as anyone else..i have to fallback on my past replies that you might be dealing with some co-dependency issues and using what you can to control your husband..now I caught flack last time when I mentioned leaving God and Jesus out of this..since they are not an object or status to be used as a bargaining chip or to influence others..I hope others understand the context of what I mean..and not to take this as not having them as part of your life

Hi blackdragon, if i'm understanding you correctly, you are referring to manipulating someone? I would agree that trying to manipulate someone in to following God is not right nor would it truely work.

You are in no position to lead your husband nor to assurp authority over him. You have taken no regard for the truth of God's word as it has been presented on here. Perhaps you need to take another look at yourself before judging your husband and hopefully the Holy Spirit will convict you of your ways. God will deal with your husband if it is according to his will, but it sounds like you have just as much reason to hit your knees and ask for forgiveness. You and your husband need to submit yourselves unto God and pray he will have mercy on you both.

to onejoe thank you i believe i have bowed down to my knees and ask for forgiveness. i also believe that you are right as far as judging him also. i have been saved at 10 years old. and i believe that when you realized right from wrong that is when people start to judge others. i will defginitely look at myself again?
