Where has this year gone I say to myself as I find a quiet moment to pause
There's been hustle and bustle - appointments to keep so many commitments and chores
How is it possible for the year to go past so quickly in a blink of an eye
Just seems like yesterday we had New Years day and now a whole year has gone by!
The best thing about this is Christmas coming up -a time to remember the reason
For living our lives - there's a purpose you see, we think of it now in this season
A child was born in a stable one night, a child who was born to be King
He grew to a man and then died on a cross, wow! that was really something!
To die on that cross to save us from sin, life eternal with Him we might share
Imagine the pain and the horror he felt as he died in torment - do we care?
This Jesus God's Son loved us so much He gave His own life so all might live
He gave His own Life! Can you fathom that out? This Christmas what will you give?
Christmas means more than just good food and gifts, drinking and laughter more parties
The sacrifice Jesus made for all of us should determine right now where your heart is
This could mean giving up things that you love, worldly things that mean nothing to Him
Keep focused on God and the things of above and through Him you will conquer your sin
Well this Christmas day when you eat at the table with family and friends all so dear
Remember God's gift so unique and so rare Jesus Christ - God's own Son, say a prayer!
Remember all the unsaved in the world and pray for salvation for those
That they would turn to Him now and confess all their sins
JESUS LIVED, JESUS DIED, JESUS ROSE
