View Full Version : Do you Pray for your spouse?
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I have a boyfriend that I've been with for several years and we, one day, plan on being married... so I know that I don't exactly qualify for this question, but just for the record, I pray for him everyday, and he prays for me as well.
I would hope that everybody answers "Always" to that one... otherwise, they need to do some serious praying immediately!

Yes, I pray for him and the rest of my family, friends....sometimes I pray for people I don't know, or people I know very little about...so most certainly I always pray for my husband.
We pray together also...

ok, some of you might think this seems weird. im single and never dated yet, but yes i pray for my partner, my future partner. i think its really an awesome thing to do, just to ask God to look after the one He has for you, to pray that your relationship with your future partner will be honouring to God and that He will be preparing your partner for you and also that He will prepare you for your partner. anyways just a thought!

Actually, I think that's a great idea... I also think it will make your relationship stronger in the long run. I'm sure it will make him feel great when he finds that you've been praying for him all this time!

I'm not in a relationship but I was at a youth conference and the speaker said to pray for our future spouses. At first I thought it was a weird idea but after I thought about it and talked to some people I found out that alot of people I know either pray for their future spouses or for their childrens future spouses. I think it's a really cool idea. And I do it now.
