There is a scripture that I want to put in my wedding program that says something like "the true bueaty of God' kingdom is out in nature not in a place of stone and bricks!" or something liek that.... and I think it's somewhere in Acts, but I could be wrong, because I'm doing Acts for my daily devo's right now, and I can't FIND it!!! haha :-) Anyone know which verse I'm talking about? We want to use it because we're getting married outside, feeling that we want to be out in God's kingdom. Before the ceremony, we're going to have a worship cservice in the Gazebo, so that we can bring in the presense of the Lord :-) Can't WAIT!!!!

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding of what the kingdom of God is?Luke 17:21 says "The kingdom of God is within you.." and Romans 14:17 says"The kingdom of God is not meat and drink but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Moving in Faith..I don't think you are going to find the scripture you are looking for. Cruden's Concordance and Strong's Concordance doesn't have it.

The Kingdom of God is not in your heart, nor is it the beauty in nature. The Kingdom is what is coming in the future, after God renews the heavens and earth. It is the dwelling place for those who receive everlasting life.

Luke 17:21 is a mistranslation. "The Kingdom of God is within you," is better translated "among you," or "in your midst". The Kingdom is what is coming to this earth after God makes the new heavens and earth. A place here on the new earth for those who are resurected into eternal life.

hi mymyohmy, if i were you i would do some research before making such a statement...in the midst of you is ok as long as you realize that it means inside you. but it seems like bad english to me...God bless.

mymyohmy, in agreement with what you have stated, let's look at the beginning of the paragraph and see to whom Jesus was talking to.

Luke 17:20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21 nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within (margin, among)you.
It was the Pharisees that asked Jesus about the coming kingdom and it was they that Jesus was addressing; since it is highly unlikely, in this context, that the kingdom of God was "within" those unrighteous Pharisees, it would seem reasonable that the the marginal reference would be the more accurate rendering, "...kingdom of God is "among" you...."

Consider, for example, Matthew 3:2, 4:17 and 10:7, where Jesus refers to the kingdom of heaven in reference to Himself, as being "at hand". With that in mind, the "kingdom of God" referred to in Luke 17:21 could be a reference to Jesus, the Messiah, as being the kingdom of God "among" the people, but certainly not "within" the Pharisees, to whom He was speaking.

I have searched extensively and the only passage I find that remotely resembles what you describe is Romans 14:17.

hi recycled. i have to disagree. the kingdom of God is within you if you have God ruling in your heart. i believe that He was giving a location not saying that they had the kingdom of God in them. if He was refering to Himself being among them then why did He say it cometh not by observation and also refered to it as not being "lo here or lo there"?

Also - Both word searches on "beauty", "nature", "God", and "kingdom" and a phrase search on "kingdom of God" -- for the entire Bible in KJV,NASB, and YLT -- produced no verse even close.

Hi MovinginFaith. I don't know what exactly you are looking for or what you want to use for your wedding program. I think the verse in Acts you meant is this:

Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man. Acts. 17:29
